Cape Town - SuperSport United midfielder Teboho Mokoena says he will do his utmost to impress with South Africa's U23s as they take on Angola in an U23 AFCON qualifier.

Mokoena is a full Bafana Bafana international however he was overlooked for the nation's upcoming Group E Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya on Sunday.

Bafana require a point to advance to the tournament in Egypt whereas the Mediterranean Knights need all three points to qualify at South Africa's expense.

Nonetheless, the exciting 22-year-old talent says he is not disappointed to be left out and will instead channel his efforts for the cause of Amaglug-glug.

The clash against the Angolans is set to take place on Sunday and is a qualifier for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

He said: "No, it does not bother me because it's the national team. It does not bother me, so what I have to do now is work hard and try to see myself being back in the national team [Bafana Bafana].

"Now I have to focus on the U23s and focus on trying to qualify for the Olympics. I feel I will be able to contribute. I will tell the guys what to expect and what not to expect. But what's important is the teamwork."
