Bafana Bafana head coach Molefi Ntseki has confidence his team can overcome some serious squad difficulties in their two 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
South Africa face Sao Tome and Principe at home at the FNB Stadium on Friday and again at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Monday.
Ntseki's 26-man squad has seen seven changes in total since it was announced, with Bradley Grobler the latest player to withdraw.
He has since been replaced by AmaZulu's Siyethemba Sithebe.
Reeve Frosler, Thibang Phete, Thulani Serero, Andile Jali, Abubakar Mobara, Thamsanqa Mkhize were all ruled unavailable, with Thabo Nodada, Tshepo Rikhotso, Vincent Pule, Thapelo Morena, Diamond Thopola and Mosa Lebusa subsequently named as their replacements.
Speaking ahead of Friday's tie, Ntseki said: "We are giving whoever we've called to the team the confidence to come and play for his country.
"It is because of something we can't control, medical issues and all of that, but I think that has allowed other players to be called up to the team...because if something like that does happen, you have to replace such players."
Ntseki added: "We are all praying and believing that whoever is here in camp will carry us through the two matches."
