Hakim Ziyech is loving life at Chelsea after an impressive Premier League showing against Burnley.
Ziyech was not able to make the start he wanted at Chelsea. He was the first of their big-money signings this summer, but he joined with a knee injury which kept him out of the start of the season.
But the Moroccan came in for his first appearance of the season against Krasnodar in the Champions League in midweek. He played 80 minutes in that game as Chelsea ran out comfortable 4-0 winners.
Ziyech made his first Premier League start of the season on Saturday against Burnley. He played 73 minutes as he tormented Burnley at Turf Moor.
The attacker opened the scoring before setting up Timo Werner for the third goal in their 3-0 away victory.
He joined Chelsea in a deal worth around £36 million from Ajax. Ziyech joins the Premier League after proving himself both domestically and in Europe for the Dutch giants.
In an interview with the club’s official website, Ziyech reflected on a great week for the club and him personally:
“It has been a really good week for me and hopefully we can continue.
“Especially after the European game, coming here [to Burnley], I think we did a really good game. We started well and gave Burnley problems. They had one big chance at the beginning but after that we controlled the game.
“Life at Chelsea is good, I am where I am supposed to be. I feel good and feel at home and everything is fine.”
