Cape Town - Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic etched his name in the record books as he scored the Premier League’s 25 000th goal on Sunday.

Ibrahimovic scored twice in United’s 3-1 victory over Swansea City, but it was his first goal that marked the competition’s milestone.

Asked about it later, the cocky Swede said that he thought that he had scored all 25 000 goals

Ibrahimovic joins an elite club of players to have scored landmark goals in the Premier League as Les Ferdinand scored the tournament’s 10 000th goal, while Marc Albrighton claimed the honours for the 20 000th.
