Cape Town - Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante says he is fully committed to the club's cause this season, but admitted he enjoys being linked to other clubs.

The France international has become an integral part of the Foxes surprise bid for the Premier League title this season after his £5.6million transfer from Ligue 1 club Caen at the start of the campaign.

His performances have caught the eye of many managers across Europe, leading to being called up to the France national team and earning his first two caps this year, while the likes of Juventus, Chelsea and Arsenal are all reportedly chasing his signature for next season.

"I will fight for Leicester this season and next season we never know and we will see," he told Sky Sports News HQ. "At this moment I am focused on Leicester. We have to finish well this season but I don't mind about [being linked with] the other clubs."

Kante celebrated his 25th birthday on Tuesday by making his first start for France and scoring his first goal for the country just eight minutes into the match.

"It was a good present for my birthday. [it was my] first time in the starting line-up and first goal. It was a good win and we are happy."

The midfielder admits that, even in their wildest dreams, the Leicester squad did not think they would find themselves in this position when they began the season, but are now determined to fight to stay on top.

"It is unbelievable because we weren't thinking about this at the start of the season," he added. "All things are good and we are happy.

"We will fight for the title but it is not [our] due. We have to fight in every game. There are seven games left. We hope to win the league but it's not finished."

Leicester resume their bid for the Premier League title by welcoming Southampton to the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
