When it comes to on-field challenges, there is Mamelodi Sundowns and the rest. Their men's team dominated the league, but faltered in the Champions League.

Their women's side went one better, however, in winning their version of the Champions League, doing so without conceding a goal.

But the Pitso Mosimane debacle in May this year will continue to hang around the club like an ugly odour.
