Cape Town - University of Pretoria coach Shaun Bartlett lamented his player's poor execution after the 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

Bartlett is still searching for his first victory since taking over AmaTuks, after two losses and a draw.

The Buccaneers secured maximum points at the Tuks Stadium following a 70th-minute goal from Thabo Matlaba.

Bartlett was frustrated after conceding from a situation they had been preparing for during the week.

"It's always disappointing when you taught the players all week, you showed them the danger players, then one mistake again, not tracking back and allowing the space, and we got punished," Bartlett told Soccer Laduma.

"Once again on the other side, when you create chances you need to be more clinical. When we have chances like that, one needs to go in.

"Little things again we have to continue to work on. The players sometimes just get over-excited. They do all the hard work getting it into the final third, but then we need to be a bit more composed.

"You can't shoot on goal if you're not even looking at the ball. These things obviously need to get a lot better."
