Cape Town - Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Matthew Booth is adamant that the Brazilians will cope without the services of Khama Billiat if he decides to leave the club.

Billiat is in the last months of his contract at Sundowns and can open negotiations with any club for a pre-contract elsewhere.

However, Booth feels the likes of Anthony Laffor and Themba Zwane can fill the void that will be left by the Zimbabwean, if he does indeed quit Sundowns at the end of the season.

"I don’t know what he is asking for and I cannot comment about it, but I think Zwane and Laffor are capable to replace him," Booth said as quoted by Vodacom Soccer

"As for the league title, absolutely, Sundowns have the squad to do it especially after Pirates dropped points on Wednesday."

Booth though added that the club's African campaign may prove to be a distraction.

"I thought the Champions League might make it difficult for them if the title is not wrapped up by then."
