Cape Town City sign Ghanaian striker ahead of Premiership kick-off

Cape Town City have announced the capture of Ghanaian striker Prince Opoku Agyemang.

The Citizens were looking to replace Kermit Erasmus, who has signed for Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

They announced the signing of the 28-year-old Medeama SC frontman with a brief statement on the club's Twitter account: "Cape Town City is delighted to announce the acquisition of Ghanaian international striker Prince Opoku Agyemang.

"City and Medeama SC have reached a transfer agreement for an initial 1-year deal with the option to extend to June 2024."

Agyemang netted an impressive 11 goals in 14 games for Medeama in the Ghana Premier League last season.
