Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs reached the Telkom Knockout final after beating Orlando Pirates in a penalty shootout at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The match finished 0-0 in regulation time and after 30 minutes of extra time nothing could separate the sides.
The penalty shootout was also a tight affair, before Chiefs edged it 6-5 when Siyabonga Sangweni hit the crossbar with the decisive spot-kick.
Amakhosi goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo made a few telling saves and was awarded with the man-of-the-match accolade.
In the final, Chiefs will face Mamelodi Sundowns, who beat SuperSport United 3-1 in the later game.
Chiefs will play in their first Telkom Knockout final since the 2010/2011 season and will subsequently have a chance to add a record 14th League Cup crown to their trophy cabinet.
