Bidvest Wits defender Sameehg Doutie says he is not thinking about his future as he focuses on ending the season strongly with the Premier Soccer League club.

The Clever Boys will cease to exist next season after being sold to the owners of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.

A number of players are already negotiating their exits, but Doutie has his sights set firmly on winning the Telkom Knockout.

Wits play Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-final of the lucrative cup competition, with Baroka take on Bloemfontein Celtic in the second semi.

Speaking to Goal, the 31-year-old former Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates player said: "I'm a Bidvest Wits player and I am committed to the cause until the end of the season.

"My focus is on the Nedbank semi-final and league to finish off well."

Reflecting on the sale of Wits, Doutie added: "Of course, it's extremely disappointing for everyone but what can you do as a player?

"I've been hurt so many times in this industry whilst giving my best. Even while having thoughts at the back of your mind, thinking you will find a home in a certain place but it is what it is.

"I've come to terms with it and I understand that certain things are simply out of your control.

"So, what can I do is to continue to be committed to the course, finish off well and honour my contract which comes to an end when the PSL Season is finished."
