Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane admits that he has several players in his squad that he is willing to let go of.

Mario Booysen, Percy Tau, Tiyani Mabunda, Lindokuhle Mbatha, Sibusiso Kumalo, Mukuka Mulenga and Thela Ngobeni are some of the members that may be set to leave Downs, either permanently or on loan.

"If we have not used you for two years, then why should we hang onto you? We don't want to hang on to a player like Mabunda. We will try place him at another club," Mosimane was quoted as saying by the Business Day Live website.

Mosimane says, however, that he plans to hold onto defender Rheece Evans, despite his lack of game-time, as well as reported interest from his former club, Maritzburg United.

"We think Evans can stay with us for the Champions League because we need numbers there. His advantage is that he can play right-back, left-back and centre-back," Mosimane said.

Burundian striker Fiston Abdul Razak, meanwhile, has struggled to make an impact for the Pretoria club, but Mosimane was unclear as to whether he had a future with Sundowns.

"[Razak is] struggling to make it with us, but internationally, he is top. He says 'coach come and watch me score the goals' and he scores," the former Bafana coach added.

"He goes to DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo), he scores. Every international game he plays, he scores. But he is struggling here."

Meanwhile, Sundowns travel to FNB Stadium on Saturday, January 9 to take on Kaizer Chiefs in the first PSL fixture of 2016.

Kick-off is at 20:15.
