Maritzburg United coach Eric Tinkler says his players are ready and eager to return to action after months without football.
The Team of Choice entered the enforced break, as a result of the coronavirus, in fifth place on the Premiership standings with 39 points from 24 games - ten adrift of leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
They return to action against Black Leopards at the FNB Stadium on Sunday, 16 August.
Tinkler's side were in fine form before the break with four wins from four league games, although they did lose to Bloemfontein Celtic in the Nedbank Cup.
Speaking to his club's official website, the head coach said: "I think the players are the ones who have obviously missed football the most.
"It's their profession, something they enjoy. Being away from the game for as long as they have been, nearly three months, it is a long time, so everyone is happy to be back and ready to go."
Tinkler isn't too concerned with his side's schedule, with all his players currently fit.
"I think the squad so far is all good, we do not have any injuries. Everyone is fit and available so that is a positive leading up to the final six games. We have six games in three weeks but fortunately for us they are not really that congested.
"We only have one real back-to-back games that is a bit of a concern which is when we play Sundowns and then Wits two days later but that's a problem for all the teams, they all have to face something similar," said Tinkler.
