Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp wants to fulfil the expectations of the club this season and win the Absa Premiership.
Amakhosi top the standings with 48 points from 22 games, ahead of reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns in second place on 44 points, but from 21 matches.
They restart their season away to sixth-placed Bidvest Wits on Wednesday (kick-off is at 18:00), having entered the enforced break on the back of a narrow 1-0 loss to AmaZulu.
Speaking ahead of their mid-week encounter, the Chiefs coach says expectations are high with eight games to play.
He was reported on FARPost to have said: "We know we have the support and we know we have to fulfil expectations going into the final day on the 5th of September.
"Hopefully we will fulfil the expectations of each and everybody and of course, we want to win the league.
"All of us, the technical team and especially the players want to have the games, they want to have the competitive season going on in the final stages and we are very happy, and hopefully well prepared to start again on Wednesday against Bidvest Wits."
Chiefs last won the league in the 2013/14 season.
