Marumo Gallants moved out of the relegation zone with a comfortable 3-1 victory over 10-man TS Galaxy in their DStv Premiership clash played at the Peter Mokaba stadium on Wednesday.
Lehlohonolo Nonyane, Sibusiso Khumalo and Letsie Koapeng all scored for the hosts while substitute Wayde Lekay got a consolation strike for the Rockets in injury time.
The visitors were always up against from the 20th minute when they went down to 10 men after defender Igor Makitan was given a straight red card after elbowing forward Lerato Lamola.
Gallants then made use of their man advantage when they took the lead in the 33rd minute as Nonyane rose highest in the box and connected with a header from a Joseph Malongoane free-kick.
The second goal came in the 39th minute after some good play down the left-hand side saw Lebohang Mabotja whip in a cross that was neatly finished by Khumalo.
The home team were looking comfortable throughout the contest and limited Galaxy to long-range efforts in the second half.
The game was put beyond doubt six minutes from full-time when Koapeng finished off a good move that saw the Gallants midfield run rings around their beaten opponents.
Lekay struck a superb long-range shot that found the back of the net deep into stoppage time but that was as good as it got for Galaxy.
