Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Hlompho Kekana has been nominated for the FIFA Puskas award.
A shortlist of 11 nominees for this year's award that honours the best goal of the year has been compiled by a panel of football experts.
The Downs skipper netted a sensational goal against Cape Town City in August 2019 that puts him in contention for the prestigious honour.
The candidates include Shirley Cruz, Giorgian De Arrascaeta, Jordan Flores, Andre-Pierre Gignac, Sophie Ingle, Zlatko Junuzovic, Leonel Quinonez, Son Heung-Min Luis Suarez, Caroline Weir and Kekana.
A brief statement on the FIFA website read: "A shortlist of 11 nominees for the FIFA Puskas Award - honouring the best goal of the year - was compiled by a panel of football experts.
"Votes from FIFA.com users will whittle these down to a final trio, from which football fans voting on FIFA.com will be responsible for 50 per cent of the votes cast, with a panel of football experts providing the other 50 per cent.
"The victor from that process will be revealed at The Best FIFA Football Awards show in Zurich on Thursday 17 December."
Kekana was previously nominated for his goal for Bafana Bafana goal against Cameroon in 2016.
