Cape Town - Bidvest Wits boss Gavin Hunt has vowed to keep faith with his youngsters after securing a place in the qualifying first round of the CAF Confederation Cup at the weekend.

A youthful Clever Boys outfit hammered Light Stars of Seychelles 6-0 on Saturday to secure a 9-0 aggregate victory and a place in the next round of qualifiers.

And with Hunt's side actively involved in the Absa Premiership title race, the club's youngsters are likely to be heavily involved in the first team between now and the end of the campaign.

"You will need the youngsters and I always say when the run-in comes, you need the freshness," Hunt told Sowetan Live.

"The youngsters play with more freedom and as the games come, you will see."

Wits return to domestic action on Friday when they lock horns with Bloemfontein Celtic in the Nedbank Cup, while they can also look forward to facing Tanzanian side Azam FC in the next phase of the CAF Confederation Cup in mid-March.
