Cape Town Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson has warned his players to be cautious of a wounded Kaizer Chiefs at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Wednesday.

The defending Premiership champions were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Orlando Pirates at the weekend.

And Chiefs could potentially end the season without silverware as they are 13 points behind league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Dikwena could complete a double over Chiefs after their 2-1 win in their first-round clash at the beginning of the year.

"You know when you play against Chiefs, you are covered with the players' part. You have to do the tactical work. If you do the tactical part correctly you can always win the game," Johnson told KickOff.

"The fact that they lost the Nedbank Cup game, they are going to come out and they are going to run at us and we are preparing ourselves.

"We will be more confident than they are because it's our home game. We will try match them pound for pound and if we can, we will be in with a good chance to come away with something from the game."
