Cape Town - Orlando Pirates manager Kjell Jonevret says he's experienced enough to ignore media scrutiny surrounding his future at the Premiership giants.

Jonevret arrived at the Sea Robbers at one of the lowest points in the club's history, struggling at the wrong end of the table and at the back of some heavy defeats to SuperSport and Sundowns respectively.

However, with the news that former coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has left his post as Uganda head coach, local media have tipped the Serbian mentor to replace the underfire Swede in the coming days.

"I have worked in this business for a long time‚" Jonevret said after the 1-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs.

"I know how it is. Sometimes they have patience and other times they don’t. Orlando Pirates have had a lot of coaches in the last couple of years.

"But it's difficult for me to say anything about that. I am professional. We work hard every day and we try to do our best. A few pieces are starting to take shape.

"I am 100% sure that we are going to have a better season. If that's with me‚ or they have found a dream coach somewhere‚ that's not up to me."
