Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer gave a coy answer after he asked whether the club will bring in more players before the transfer window closes.

The Buccaneers have so far recruited nine players during the off-season, namely: Wayde Jooste, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Deon Hotto, Terrence Dzvukamanja, Collins Makgaka, Thabang Monare, Richard Ofori, Sandile Mthethwa and Tercious Malepe.

The club have also offloaded 15 players in total to balance the books with the likes of Augustine Mulenga, Diamond Thopola, Gladwin Shitolo, Justin Shonga and Justice Chabalala to name but a few who have left the club on a free transfer or on a season-long loan.

The current transfer window was extended until the end of November and with Orlando Pirates not having the brightest start to the 2020/21 season, the club might want to bring more players in.

However, when Zinnbauer was asked if he believes that his current squad will see any new faces, he opted to reveal that he is instead happy with players that he has at his disposal and is aiming to improve their abilities as the season progresses.

"I think we have good quality in the squad. We as coaches, we work with the players, we improve exactly what we want," Zinnbauer told the media ahead of the Buccaneers’ Soweto derby MTN8 semi finals first leg clash against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

"Now in the last two weeks we do more work. You see, in the training sessions it is not always possible. When the FIFA break (9-19 November) is coming, we have more time for certain players that we can improve more and conditioning.

"But I have a good squad, I trust and believe in this squad. It is up to us to improve the players."

Saturday's match kicks off at 15:00.
