Josta Dladla backs Kaizer Chiefs to get the right players

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Josta Dladla believes the club are in the process of signing the right kind of quality players to bring success back to Amakhosi's faithful.

Chiefs have already made moves in the transfer market by signing Lazarous Kambole, Joe Kotei, Kearyn Baccus and Samir Nurkovic.

The Glamour Boys begin their campaign on 4 August against Highlands Park however there is the Carling Black Label Cup final to look forward to on 27 July against Orlando Pirates.

It is a chance for some of the new stars to show their potential ahead of a much-anticipated 2019/20 season.

Dladla told Soccer Laduma: "We've got another chance to redeem ourselves, Pirates came second last season and never won anything.

"We came ninth and we are still in the building process, people got to understand that and obviously by doing so, you need to find the right player where you are lacking and that is what the team is doing.

"I wouldn't change anything for the team, the coach knows what he is doing, I think for me, the most important thing is to get the right players for the right positions.

"So far, so good, we are bringing in strikers, that's where we lacked, we couldn't score the goals, but defensively we were not that bad although getting the goals was the problem.

"They are still trying to bring in more players to try and fill up the spaces where we are lacking and I think before the end of the window period, the team would have gotten everyone that they need."
