SuperSport United head coach Kaitano Tembo on Thursday said that he is expecting a tough encounter when his side hosts the unbeaten Swallows FC who he says have been punching above their weight so far this season.
The two sides will be aiming to keep pace with log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns who are three points clear, while SuperSport will have the added incentive of ending Swallows' impressive unbeaten run.
Both teams are equal on 27 points after 13 matches played and will be aiming to close the three point gap to Sundowns with a game in hand.
The 50-year-old Tembo was full of praise for this weekend's opponents and gave credit to head coach Brandon Truter and his side for their impressive start to the campaign.
"We're coming up against a very good team," Tembo said. "I think they've proved themselves that they can punch above their weight.
"Credit should go to Brandon [Truter] and the management of the club for the great job they've done so far.
"They're a team that plays with no fear and we're expecting a very tough game against a very spirited side who are also one of the only two sides who are uneaten.
"So it says a lot about them as a team.
Tembo added that he has so far been happy with his team's efforts as we reach the halfway mark of the season but was still aiming for improvements from a young squad.
"In terms of what we want to achieve it is always two points per game and so far we are just off that by three points, but so far I've been happy with the team's effort.
"Especially taking into account that we have lost some big players and characters in the dressing room.
"But I have to applaud my team because looking at the results it isn't obvious that we've gone through a bit of a transitional phase by blooding new players.
Tembo will be hoping that his young side, spearheaded by top goalscorer Bradley Grobler will hand Swallows a first defeat of the season.
Kick-off for Saturday's clash is at 17:00.
