Man-of-the-match Neo Maema says Kaizer Chiefs are still the best club in South Africa after his Bloemfontein Celtic side held the Soweto giants to a 2-2 draw.
Maema pulled the first goal back for Phunya Sele Sele after receiving a backheel from Ndumiso Mabena to side-foot past Akpeyi.
And the 25-year-old said that despite Chiefs' woes and six-year trophy drought, the Amakhosi are still the best team in the country.
"First of all, I want to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for this opportunity," Maema told SuperSport TV.
"Without him, we wouldn't have been here. It was not an easy game to play against the best team in the country despite what they are going through. They're still the best.
"It was tough going 2-0 down in the first 20 minutes. It wasn't easy for us to come back. But I'm glad that we got a point.
"It's like the 26th game of the season, so it wasn't easy. The muscles. Especially going towards the end of the game."
After a short break, Phunya Sele Sele are back in action on Wednesday, 12 April against Cape Town City.
Kick-off will be at 19:30.
