Cape Town - Dylan Kerr says he joined Black Leopards for a new challenge while his former club Gor Mahia say they will be willing to facilitate sales of their players for the right price.

The 51-year-old former Hai Phong and Simba SC head coach, who has also been assistant at Mpumalanga Black Aces, swapped Kenya for South Africa following Joel Masutha's resignation last week.

He was unveiled by the struggling Premiership side on Tuesday, explaining he was ready to move despite leading Gor Mahia to two leagues titles during his 16-month stay.

Speaking to Goal website, the new man at the helm said: "It is a new challenge you know, the challenge of helping a new team to avoid the axe and who knows what is going to happen but honestly speaking, I made a big choice not on profile but on my football.

"I watched my new team play against Polokwane City in a friendly on Tuesday and my main target now is to help them stay up in the PSL.

"It is a new chapter in my career, but I know we can achieve that feat looking at the players, I watched because they are all ready to work hard and get positive results."

Meanwhile, Kerr could strengthen Leopards with the signing of Gor Mahia's Francis Kahata and Philemon Otieno.

Club Deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala added: "We are in business and if we get a good offer, we'll definitely consider it.

"Our policy is known; we cannot stop any player from leaving if the right procedures are followed, refusing to give a release letter will not benefit the involved parties, everything should be discussed, and, in the end, an amicable solution reached.

"Kahata is contracted to us until June next year while Otieno is contracted to us up to 2020. So, if Black Leopards are interested to sign the two players, they should follow the due process in regard to transfers."
