Kaizer Chiefs striker Khama Billiat says he's working very hard with head coach Gavin Hunt to improve his finishing.
The 30-year-old has struggled to replicate his goal-fuelled seasons of the past in recent campaigns.
But under Hunt this term, the former Mamelodi Sundowns frontman is eager to repay the faith shown in him by his manager by hitting the highs in 2021.
He has scored just once this season, while providing three assists and set up Leonardo Castro's winning goal in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Primeiro de Agosto in the CAF Champions League to help them progress to the group stages.
Billiat was reported on Goal, as saying: "Normally the coach is on my case, [telling me], 'your strength is to run behind the defenders and make sure you finish the attack'."
He further described his contribution to the goal, adding: "As soon as Njabulo [Blom] and [Philani] Zulu got the ball, I just turned and gave them my back and started running.
"Exactly as I expected, Njabulo put the ball behind the defence. It made it easy for me and I was left with one versus one and I told myself I just need to eliminate the one in front of me and I know my player is going to be in the box, and Castro was in the right position at the right time."
