Cape Town - Daine Klate says that Bidvest Wits are focused on not conceding any goals in their first-leg semi-final tie against Cape Town City in the MTN 8 tournament.

The Clever Boys come up against the newly-assembled Cape outfit this weekend, and Klate, who worked under the tutelage of Eric Tinkler at Orlando Pirates, is predicting a closely contested affair

"Cape Town City did well in their first two games of the season," he told the club's official website.

"I know coach Eric Tinkler very well as well – he is a very organised and to the T-kind of person. They have definitely prepared well," he added.

Tinkler's charges claimed the scalp of Kaizer Chiefs in a 1-0 victory at the Cape Town Stadium to book their place in the semi-finals, whilst Wits defeated another Soweto giant in Orlando Pirates.

"In the short amount of time, they have had together they look like a solid unit. It will be a tough challenge for us on Saturday, and the key is to take it one game at a time. We need to focus on the first leg at home and ideally not concede any goals.

"Our focus is on the game ahead and not on a game which is in the past," Klate concluded.
