SuperSport United have announced the signing of five young players from Bidvest Wits, Ubuntu Cape Town and Highlands Park.

The Premiership side made six signings prior to the 2020/21 season in Iqraam Rayners, Lucky Mohomi, George Chigova, Keenan Phillips, Mpho Mathebula and Thalente Mbatha, while releasing nine players, of which Aubrey Modiba to Mamelodi Sundowns was the most notable.

They have, however, opted to further strengthen with a number of up and coming stars rather than fork out on big-money deals for seasoned professionals.

A brief statement on the club's Twitter account read: "SuperSport United would like to announce the signing of Bidvest Wits trio Sinenjongo Mkiva (19), Samukelo Xulu (19) Brynn Deeley (18), Keenan Bezuidenhout (18) from Ubuntu Cape Town and Thalente Mbatha (20) from Highlands Park.

"Welcome to Matsatsantsa."
