Cape Town - Former Bafana Bafana star Bryce Moon has put pen to paper to join Maritzburg United ahead of the 2016/17 PSL season.
The move sees the right back return to his home town, where he will join younger brother Ryan Moon as part of coach Ernst Middendorp's charges this season.
Moon has had an up-and-down career so far.
It looked to be on the right path when he landed a deal with Greek club Panathinaikos in 2008.
Moon was playing Champions League football and was a shoo-in for Bafana Bafana's 2010 World Cup squad before tragedy struck in 2009.
Following a night out in 2009, Moon fatally struck a pedestrian while driving his car in Sandton.
He would be found guilty of culpable homicide years later.
Moon lost his Bafana place and had to move back to South Africa where he joined Golden Arrows on loan in 2010.
Since then he has had stints with SuperSport United, Wits, Mamelodi Sundowns and Platinum Stars.
Now, at 30-years-old, he is looking to settle with the Team of Choice.
Moon was unveiled as one of several Maritzburg signings on Tuesday.
The others include Bevan Fransman, Dennis Wieldiech and striker Andrea Fillecia.
