Cape Town - Orlando Pirates midfielder Ben Motshwari is guarded against looking too far ahead but is relishing the prospect of playing in the Soweto derby on Saturday, October 27.

Before that, the Buccaneers still have to face a Telkom Knockout test, as Chippa United are set to visit them at Orlando Stadium this Saturday.

Motshwari, who is in his first season at Mayfair having joined the Sea Robbers from Bidvest Wits, is not taking the Chilli Boys lightly.

"Yeah, but we have to concentrate on the game that's on our hands now. I wouldn't want to look forward to the derby while we have another game to play," Motshwari said as quoted by KickOff website.

"The derby is a derby, and I've never played in one before so hopefully I'll get an opportunity in this one. But, for now, like I've said, we have to concentrate on the next game."

Focused as he may be, Motshwari is under no illusions about the significance of the rivalry between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs to the people of South Africa.

"It's every footballer's dream to play in a 90 000-capacity stadium that's packed," he said.

"We know always in the townships things stand still when Chiefs and Pirates play, so for me, it's going to be an emotional day but at the same time I'll be happy.

"That's what you want to do when you're a footballer, and those are the moments that you want to be involved in when you play football."
