Cape Town - Baroka FC chairperson Khurishi Mphahlele has left the door open for Kaizer Chiefs to sign Bakgaga midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase.

Mphahlele stated on Wednesday that Amakhosi had not met the Limpopo team's asking price for Ntshangase and that a deal was off.

In the interim, the Glamour Boys swooped to sign another attack-minded midfielder, Kabelo Mahlasela, from Bloemfontein Celtic.

They also loaned out central defender Lorenzo Gordinho to Phunya Sele Sele.

Mphahlele has however subsequently been quoted by Soccer Laduma website as saying that Baroka are still willing to sell Ntshangase.

"We have not agreed on anything (with Chiefs), but yes it could still happen," he said.

It will remain to be seen however if the Soweto giants are still interested in negotiating after they signed Mahlasela on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
