A gruelling season is expected to greet South African teams this 2022/23 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season that kicks off this weekend.

DStv Premiership teams will have to fight for the ultimate prize while attempting to catch domestic cup titles, the MTN8, Carling Black Label Cup, and Nedbank Cup, which are up for grabs.

Four teams - Mamelodi Sundowns, Cape Town City, Royal AM and Stellenbosch - will compete in Africa's Champions League and the Confederations Cup as well.
