Cape Town - SuperSport United coach Eric Tinkler believes that the relatively short trip to Zambia gives his side a decent shot at overcoming Zesco United.

The two sides played to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final match in Pretoria on Friday evening.

Tinkler, who saw his side denied a Bradley Grobler goal after a dubious decision, admits that Zesco will provide tough opposition.

But the fairly short journey to Ndola in Zambia, in what is the middle of a very congested fixture schedule, could be of benefit to Matsatsantsa, says Tinkler.

"We must take our chances when we get our chances there. It's going to be a tough trip because they are a tough team, well-structured by the coach.

"The advantage is I have been there and I have experienced what it takes to win these knockout games," he said in reference to his continental excursions during his time as Orlando Pirates head coach.

"Obviously this is not a difficult trip. It's a two-hour trip. It's like going to Cape Town, which is great because if you go to places like Algeria and Tunisia, it can take you 28-36 hours to get there. (Zambia) is around the corner. We will be prepared," he concluded.

Kick off is at 19:00.
