Mamelodi Sundowns winger Themba Zwane has paid tribute to Pitso Mosimane after the 56-year-old announced his shock departure from the club.
Mosimane resigned as the head coach of the Brazilians as he was announced as the new mentor of Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
Zwane, who has been a large part of the club's successes during his eight-year stay, paid tribute to the five-time league-winning mentor.
The SAFJA Men's Footballer of the Season was reported on KickOff as saying: "He has played a big role in the team, even to the players, because he [would] always motivate guys and always want guys who work hard.
"He would give you the mentality that he has, which is of always [being] on your toes, don't take things for granted – you play one game, you forget about it and focus on the next.
"He has done well for himself and the team, and for the country. And he has played a big role towards myself, to be honest, because he was always on top of me."
