SuperSport United CEO Stanley Matthews says the club will entertain offers from Mamelodi Sundowns for Aubrey Modiba.
The 24-year-old former Cape Town City winger signed a new four-and-a-half-year deal with Matsatsantsa in January as they held off interest from the Brazilians.
But with the effects of Covid-19 being keenly felt by the club as they begin to restart the 2019/20 Premier Soccer League Season, Matthews now says SuperSport will consider selling the Bafana winger.
Speaking to KickOff, Matthews explained: "We are in talks but agreed to address it when we know where the season is going.
"Covid-19 and maybe a juicy new offer (changed my mind about selling). No details yet, and if it happens it will just be a sale, no players coming our way.
"Our budgets are affected with grants [possibly] suspended from month end, probably not. We only budgeted grants to June so we can't take anything for granted."
Matthews added: "No numbers finalised yet, but we have to be realistic in this economic environment.
"At the same time Aubrey is special and young, and someone we value greatly. Well, it won't be for less [than Sundowns' previous bid], that's for sure."
