Chippa United have announced the departure of Tebogo Makobela, a day after the Premier Soccer League (PSL) side released Thabo Rakhale.
The Chilli Boys are readying their squad ahead of the resumption of league football, with a number of player contracts having recently expired.
While some players will sign short-term deals to see out the currently suspended South African top-flight, Chippa decided against a new deal for the 28-year-old right-back, who was signed from Jomo Cosmos in 2018.
A post on the club's official Twitter account read: "The club wishes to confirm the departure of Tebogo Makobela, his contract has expired.
"The club will not extend his contract beyond the 2019/20 season.
"The club would like to thank Tebogo for his service at the Chilli Boys and wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
Makobela struggled to impose himself at Chippa this season after suffering a bad broken leg in a match against Kaizer Chiefs last term.
Chippa have, meanwhile, announced that former CEO Morgan Mammila has been installed as the club's General Manager, leaving his position as CEO of GladAfrica Championship side Royal Eagles.
"Chippa United is delighted to announce the return of Mr Morgan Mammila as General Manager – Football and Compliance," said the club.
"The club needed someone of his calibre and stature during this difficult time of the Covid-19 pandemic."
