SuperSport United midfielder Grant Margeman produced a stunning strike to give his side the lead in their 3-1 win over Royal AM on Tuesday evening.
The scores were deadlocked at 1-1 deep into the second half, however, with the game entering its final 10 minutes and with both sides lacking a cutting edge, it was looking increasingly unlikely that a winner would be found.
Up-stepped Margeman, who patiently bided his time and waited for the perfect opportunity to get himself near the edge of the opposition box. He controlled the ball to set it up on his favourite right foot and unleashed a powerful strike which flew into the top corner in the 81st minute, giving his side a late lead before Bradley Grobler rounded the scoring in the 94th minute.
The result moved them up to third in the DStv Premiership standings, only five points behind reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
SuperSport next play Sekhukhune United on Friday.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
