Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer was thrilled to have secured a place in the CAF Confederation Cup for next season.

Pirates won their final game of the 2019/20 Absa Premiership season against Stellenbosch FC at Ellis Park Stadium, with Gabadinho Mhango scoring the game's only goal on the stroke of half-time.

The result left Bucs on third place on the standings with 52 points, ahead of fourth-placed Bidvest Wits on goal-difference.

Speaking after the game, Zinnbauer was reported on Goal to have said: "I'm happy now for the club that we stayed in third place, we can now go to Africa, which was a target we did not have before [the game] but we have it now."

Zinnbauer, who was only appointed by the club in December last year, says his focus now turns to the upcoming campaign.

"Now the focus for me is on next season, we come back to the performance we saw before and not what we have now [during the bubble]," he said.
