Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs’ head coach, Stuart Baxter, wants ‘a big push’ from his team as they look to bounce back from two defeats when they face SuperSport United.
According to the soccerladuma website, the Amakhosi host Matsatsantsa at FNB Stadium this weekend in the quarter-final of the Nedbank Cup, but go into the game on the back of successive losses to Mamelodi Sundowns and Mpumalanga Black Aces.
Baxter is hoping that his side can forget about those two results on Saturday and focus on getting back on track.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, Baxter said, “We need a big push from the players to put the past defeats right. We will field a team that is ready tactically, physically and with the desire to go win the game. The confidence after the two defeats can be battered and I'm hoping that we respond. We have to use the Nedbank Cup to get back on track."
The Amakhosi will be eager to defend the trophy that they won last year, however they will have to make it past last year’s fellow finalists, SuperSport, if they are going to keep up their chances of doing so.
