Cape Town - Veteran Mamelodi Sundowns forward Anthony Laffor says the team are targeting victory in the Telkom Knockout after suffering an early exit in the MTN8.

Sundowns were booted of the competition by eventual champions Cape Town City in the semi-finals. In addition, with the Brazilians also suffered an early exit in the group stages of the CAF Champions League.

Laffor insists that Pitso Mosimane's side must try to win all the remaining competitions, including the TKO.

Masandawana are set to face Baroka in a quarter-final clash on Saturday at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, with a place in the semi-finals at stake for both teams.

The Liberian, who has not made a matchday squad in the Premiership but has played in the MTN8 and the CAF Champions League in 2018/19, told reporters: "From the beginning of this season we set our goals because we wanted to win everything, but we lost the MTN8 already.

"So now we have the Telkom (Knockout) on Saturday, so we are very much focused and paying attention to winning here because we lost out on the Champions League and it was frustrating. So now every cup we want to win, including the league."

The 33-year-old added that the team's hopes of defending their league in the current campaign remained on course, saying: "Everything is going according to plan because we've got two games in hand.

"If we can win all two games we can be number one, so everything is in the plan."
