Cape Town - Bafana Bafana and Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Thulani Serero has been linked with a R17 million switch to Al Jazira Club in the United Arab Emirates.

After close to a decade in Holland, it appears the former Ajax Amsterdam star could be set to move on to another country to continue his career.

Serero has been a top performer for Vitesse in recent seasons after being converted from an advanced attacking midfielder into a deeper-lying playmaker.

According to De Telegraaf, he appears to have attracted the interest of The Pride of Abu Dhabi though the 29-year-old denies wanting to leave.

He told Dutch television after a recent 2-0 victory over Willem II: "I'm still here, I'm still a Vitesse player, so my focus is still here.

"All my focus is on Vitesse, I showed it today, played the game and I can't comment on some things."

The publication have indicated he could move for around one million euros which equates to close to R17 million.
