Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas expressed his delight that Khama Billiat scored a hat-trick in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Zimamoto in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Prior to his three strikes against the outfit from Zanzibar in the Confederations Cup Preliminary Round first-leg at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, Billiat had scored just once in his previous nine matches.

Nonetheless, Solinas is pleased that the player is back in the goals as it will help build his confidence ahead of Saturday's Premiership encounter with Golden Arrows.

Kick-off is 18:00 at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban.

He said: "We dominated the game completely, we did not concede a goal, but we also did not concede chances [for the opponents to score].

"Yes, I am happy for the number of chances we created and maybe we could have scored more goals, but it's okay.

"What's important is that we did not concede, and the players today played good football. This is very important because we're going to the next game against Golden Arrows with a good mood.

"It's very important [for the team to score many goals]. It's also important, for example, that Billiat scored, because goals help strikers with their confidence.

"But today all the players performed very well, and all the players played a very good game tactically and technically."
