There have been a lot of things that have come off on the field for Sundowns. In the same vein, they have also had to deal with two dark clouds.

Those came in the form of the car-related deaths of Anele Ngcongca and Motjeka Madisha, two defenders who played two different but significant roles in their recent success.

It is worth noting both were still alive the last time Sundowns lost a game, the MTN8 quarterfinal against Bloemfontein Celtic. From there, the club has gradually moved from strength to strength.
