Fourth seed Daniil Medvedev crashed out in the French Open first round for the fourth year running following a 6-4, 7-6 (7/3), 2-6, 6-1 defeat by Hungary's Marton Fucsovics on Monday.

Russian Medvedev, a runner-up at the 2019 US Open and semi-finalist in New York this year, has yet to win a match at Roland Garros since his main draw debut in 2017.
