Cassper never cheated on her

"He didn’t cheat, it just didn’t work out. His busy schedule didn’t allow our relationship to thrive, and as a result, we fought constantly. Tabloids assumed we weren’t dating any more because Refiloe cheated. If he did, I don’t know anything about it. He made me feel loved, and I was confident of his commitment to me. Towards the end, I became desperate to make it work."

She and Cassper remain good friends

"I want to keep my distance from him. If I saw him with another girl, it’d definitely hurt. We saw each other for the first time at the end of January when he was a guest at my work, Club 808. We hadn’t told friends and colleagues yet, so we pretended to be together. I made sure I looked gorgeous though, just to make him see what he let go of! I was nervous about how I’d feel when I eventually saw him, but he’s a great guy and didn’t make me feel awkward."

She wants to be in a long-term relationship

"I want a long-term relationship, and that was the plan when I dated Refiloe. We’d both just come off bad relationships, him with actress Amanda du-Pont and I with someone else. So we both wanted something secure, which is why we decided to be together. We promised ourselves it would be forever. But his workload got in the way and steered the relationship into something I didn’t anticipate."

She bought her own car and paid for the #baecation

"I bought my own Mercedes-Benz coupé. Cassper only changed its colour to match it with his red BMW. I’ve since changed the colour back to its original silver grey. The holiday was my treat to congratulate him for #FillUpTheDome. I also planned it because I felt he and I were fizzling out fast. I needed to do something to salvage our partnership. The event took everything from us. As his girlfriend, I had to be supportive. It was an epic achievement for him, I felt how it was crippling our relationship, but I kept mum. I didn’t want to add more stress and strain for him."

She’s in a better place

"I’m concentrating entirely on myself right now, and I don’t want to be in a relationship with Cassper or anyone else any time soon. If in future we find ourselves drawn to each other, I don’t know how I’ll react. For the first time in my life, I’m confident and making mature decisions. I’m enjoying this journey I’m going through, and it feels great going through it alone. The next relationship I get into is going to remain private, between myself and my partner. I’ve learnt my lesson!"
