Cuddle up

As old fashioned as it may seem, cuddling up under blankets is cozy and saves the electricity bill. Plus you get some quality time with your loved ones.

Go for gas

If you need a heater in the house, rather go for a gas heater than an electrical one, you’ll save more and they keep you warmer for longer. Plus, it'll keep the house warm through the power-cuts as well.

Beware of the draught

As small you might think the spaces and between windows or cranks in the door they add to creating cold draught and getting the chill in. Close any spaces you have around the house.

Let the sun in

Don't let the winter sun go to waste. Open up your home and let the walls soak in the sun during the day...the heat retained in the walls will keep the house a bit less chilly later in the day.

Cover the bases

If you have house with tiles it does get chillier so have some rugs laid out it’ll warm the rooms. It's also a great way to spice up your decor and add a little character to your place.
