Are your beauty rituals not doing it for you anymore?
Duncan Pape, fashion stylist and personal beauty consultant at Langaro Lifestyle Centre shares a few of his top tips on how to improve your beauty routine:
Do’s:
• DO encourage yourself to use a sunblock on top of your moisturiser and not just depend on the SPF in your moisturiser.
• DO invest in a monthly facial with a professional, qualified therapist. Investing in the health of your skin will always pay off in the long term and is never a bad idea.
• DO use a toner at least twice a day. This will improve your skins moisture and hydration levels. Some can even be used over your make up when spritzed lightly to keep the skin looking fresh, hydrated and prolong the wear of your make-up. We love Terres d’Afrique Anti-oxidant toner with Rooibos extract to refresh and energise the skin. (R360) Don’ts:
• DON’T use a mascara for more than 3 months MAX. This is for hygiene purposes as well as making sure the mascara doesn’t clump and dry out.
• DON’T forget to use a primer before applying your foundation. This will help with the longevity of your foundation throughout the day as well as prevent congestion and product build-up in the pores.
• DON’T underestimate a very good body exfoliator and body cream to help with stretchmarks and cellulite. We love Mama Mio’s Omega Body Buff that can be used for all over exfoliation (R420) you can use it wet or dry AND on the body and the face. To make this even better, slather yourself with the amazing Mama Mio Omega Super Rich Body Cream for all over hydration.
