Reconstructive surgical techniques are used to improve the external appearance as well as alter the internal size of the genitalia. Innovative technology has enabled vaginal rejuvenation to be done without the need for surgery. The result? A younger and more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

According to Dr Josh Matambo, the demand of cosmetic gynae services has risen as women around the world want to look and feel good. “I have had patients give testimonials to the heightened confidence the procedure gives them,” he says.

As a qualified obstetrician and gynaecologist and one of six aesthetic gynaecologists in South Africa, Matambo is an advocate for women reclaiming their sexual health, and encourages women from all walks of life to familiarise themselves with the necessary information about rescontructive vaginal procedures.
