The kwaito star recently opened up about his past on Real Goboza, where he was a guest alongside DJ Cleo.
The pair appeared on the celebrity gossip show to speak about their reunion following their split several years ago.
Cleo revealed what was going on when the two decided to call it quits:
"He was untouchable. The money was rolling in. This is the perfect platform to motivate the youth to not do drugs. I never really came out with it because I was protective of him. It (the drugs) strained a perfect relationship. He has been clean for two years. I’ve been witness to it. We are back to making music and making people dance again."
During the conversation, Phat Joe also pointed out that Cleo doesn’t drink or smoke.
Brickz opened up that he got into drugs after losing both his mother and grandma. When the money started rolling in, he didn’t know what to do with it and ultimately turned to drugs for comfort spending R2 million on them.
