And this year the event will move to Polokwane Cricket Club, a venue that’s bigger and equipped with world class facilities to accommodate over 18 000 iRock fans over Heritage weekend.
Festival headliners like Cassper Nyovest, Okmalumkoolkat, Kwesta, Amanda Black, Black Motion, DJ Mshega and Culoe de Song, among others will entertain the crowd with their popular hits on Saturday, 23 September 2017.
The festival will bring music lovers the best in South African Dance, House, Hip Hop, Afro POP and RnB. And that’s not all. Once again, aspiring musicians are invited to be part of the line-up by entering the DStv iRock Battle for the Stage talent search. Keep an eye on the DStv iRock social media platforms for further updates.
“In 2013, DStv iRock launched a completely new experience. We created more than just a music festival, we created a lifestyle. The youth were captivated and looked for ways to be part of the experience in a bigger way. We then developed and implemented the iRock Ambassador Program which employs over 100 youth in the area,” says Nomsa Chabeli Mazibuko, General Manager Marketing for MultiChoice.
The 2017 edition of DStv iRock Limpopo will keep you entertained all weekend, bringing you Comedy, Jazz, and the iRock Social Sunday to end off your Heritage weekend.
Gates at the Polokwane Cricket Club will open at 12:00 on Saturday, 23 September 2017. Main event tickets are on sale for R150 GA (1) and R250 (Buy 1 get 1 free) and VIP Early bird at R2500 for 2 (includes a bottle of Bisquit, Cruz Vodka and mixers)
