These days, celebs work alongside their siblings and parents. These are some of SA’s famous families.

The Ranakas

We first got to know Manaka and Dineo through their work as actresses and radio jock, however when Dineo introduced us to her popular reality show, Dineo’s Diary, we got to see their other family members. Now the whole family has followed suit and like Dineo have become reality stars with the family’s reality show The Ranakas on Mzansi Magic that fans have affectionately gravitated towards as it trends every week.

Pabi Moloi

One of SA’s most recognisable TV faces, Pabi has held a career in the limelight since her pre-teens as host on K-TV following suit in her mother, Nana Moloi’s famous footsteps. Since then she’s hosted various shows is currently on talk show, Trending SA alongside Kuli Roberts, Shaka Sisulu and Nina Hastie while also a radio host on Power FM.

Nonhle Thema

Cynthia Shange built a name for herself as a beauty queen and actress back in her days. The veteran actress was the first black beauty queen to represent South Africa at a Miss World pageant and who can forget her famous role in the movie Deliwe. Nonhle has taken the baton and continued her mom’s legacy with her work in the entertainment industry as a TV presenter and actress.

Somizi Mhlongo

Born to the late famous actor Ndaba Mhlongo and iconic actress, Mary Twala, Somizi often jokes he’s the Blue Ivy of SA. It’s only natural then that he’s the dominant entertainment figure that he is as Idols SA judge, Metro FM presenter, MC and choreographer.

Dineo Moeketsi

The Queen actress last year got nominated in the Best Actress in a Comedy category at the AMVCA 2017 for Mrs Right Guy. She’s mostly famous of course for her work on Vuzu’s V-Entertainment. We obviously that Dineo isn’t the only celebrity in her family, her mother and famous radio personality, Kgomotso “KG” Moeketsi kicked things off for the fam.
